Job Description:


As a Product Manager for Blockboard, you will manage and perform day-to-day product management activities, including the definition of product specifications, requirements, user stories, high level technical and user experience flows. You will also be responsible for managing correspondence with various stakeholders and providing updates and guidance on a regular basis. You will be the product expert and expected to make strategic decisions based on market and competitor analyses.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Create product requirements, construct and manage design and development, and own product roadmaps

  • Lead collaboration with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams on cutting edge technologies

  • Learn, analyze and anticipate customer and advertiser needs, technical capabilities, and data available, to drive decision making and identify new opportunities

  • Partner with engineering, development, design, testing, and operations partners to invent new capabilities, challenge existing ones and execute on your initiatives

  • Become versed in existing systems and understand the implications of changing business requirements and consumer behaviors

  • Manage relationships to implement product updates that maintain Blockboard’s standards of quality

  • Understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth

  • Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly

  • Develop solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions

Experiences/Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; /Master’s degree preferred

  • 5+ years of product management experience building products/tools related to marketplace, advertising

  • Experience working in multiple product methodologies

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills

  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once while maintaining strategic alignment cross-functionally

  • Strong presentation and written communication skills and experience leading product discussions with senior management

  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of setting and delivering on expectations and commitments

  • Knowledge of video streaming and ad serving ecosystem, advertising demand side platforms, data management platforms.


The compensation package for this full-time position is a combination of the US base salary range $120,000 - $172,500 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
